The LX5-N is a flameproof limit (travel) switch for position sensing and travel control of machinery in hazardous areas. Its cast flameproof enclosure carries dual gas and dust explosion protection with IP66 sealing, and a flexible spring-rod actuating head operates the internal control contact when deflected by a moving machine part. It suits conveyors, cranes and hoists, doors and gates, and process machinery in oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and similar plants (gas Zone 1/2; combustible-dust Zone 21/22).
