The DCR604SE1616 is a compact, double-side-cooled capsule-type phase control thyristor (silicon controlled rectifier) rated for 706 A mean on-state current at 1600 V. Triggered through its gate, it switches and regulates large AC and DC currents with very low conduction losses and high surge capability, making it a dependable workhorse for high-power conversion and control. It is widely used in controlled rectifiers, high-power drives, DC motor control and high-voltage power supplies.
